This project addresses the pressing issue of chronic loneliness among the elderly population in the UK, particularly those over the age of 75. With projections indicating a doubling of this demographic by 2039 and over a third experiencing chronic loneliness post-retirement, there is an urgent need to tackle this issue for both individual well-being and public health costs.
